Candice is serving her 2nd year as president but has been active on the WCJH PTA board going on 6 years. She has lived in Katy with her husband and 3 kids for 16 years. Connor is a senior and plays basketball at KHS, Elodie is a sophomore and a member of KBBC and NAHS and Morgan is a 7th grade cheerleader and plays volleyball. With over 13 years experience working with PTAs and PTOs in the Katy area, her duties have ranged from treasurer, VIPS, hospitality and others. Candice received her BBA and MBA with a focus in Accounting from Lamar University. Professionally, she currently works with a local CPA firm as an accountant. During down time she enjoys being involved with her kid’s extracurricular activities, family game nights and baking.
1st VP Membership: Sara Burdick

Sara is currently serving in her second year as VP of Membership, having previously served as Membership Assistant. She has lived in Katy for 12 years and has held various volunteer positions within the elementary and junior high school levels. She has 3 children that are attending 3 different Katy schools this year (elementary, junior high, high school). Sara received a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University. She is currently a stay at home mom, and prior to that, spent over 15 years in Retail Buying/Merchandise Planning.
2nd VP Fundraising: Christy Christian

Christy joined PTA as a member 8 years ago. Last year she had fun setting up Spirit Nights and this year she is taking on VP of Fundraising. She is married to an Army veteran, and has two children, Christina, a 8th grader, and Nathan, a 7th grader.
In her spare time, she loves crafting, reading, playing with her 3 dogs and making memories with her family and friends.

My husband, Ryan and I moved to Katy 8 years ago and we have 3 children, Nathan, Stella & Harper that are all attending 3 different KISD schools! They keep us very busy with their many different activities! I’ve been involved with Wolman PTA and WCJH PTA! When I am not volunteering or shuttling my kids around I enjoy working out and spending time with friends and family!

Treasurer: Amy Rheman

Amy is currently serving her second year on the Executive Board as Treasurer. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a MS in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. After working in public accounting as a financial auditor for 7 years, Amy left to stay home and raise her two children, one in elementary and the other in 7th grade. Amy enjoys playing tennis, lunching with friends, and volunteering at her church as well as the school. On the weekends, she can be found at the soccer fields, basketball court, or softball fields cheering on her kids!
Secretary: Selene Simmons

Selene is serving in her 2nd year as Secretary, having previously served as the Workroom/ Lost and Found Chair. She has volunteered in Katy ISD for over 20 years, and has served in the PTA of WoodCreek Elementary, WoodCreek Junior High and Tompkins High School Orchestra Booster.
She has lived in Katy for 27 years with her husband and 3 kids. Her oldest daughter is a teacher, her son is a grad student, and her youngest daughter will be in the 8th grade.
Selene received a BBA in International Business from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Monterrey, NL. Mexico. Professionally, she is currently an administrative assistant for the Fulshear Church of Christ.
She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering at her church, watching her daughter play basketball, her son play baseball and going on walks.
