Julie Aasmyr 1

Julie Aasmyr (aus-meer) is starting her fourth consecutive year on the WCJH Board.  Julie chaired Hospitality for two years before she was the VP of Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS).  This year, she is serving her second year as a member of the Campus Advisory Team (CAT), chosen as the Katy Leadership representative, and is enthusiastically tackling the job as President during these unprecedented times! She and her husband have 3 children, and this will be her first year with kids at three different campuses!  Before focusing on volunteering, Julie got her Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management and worked as a Manager for over fifteen years with a focus on Records Management in the legal sector.  She served as President of the Houston Area Health Information Management Association (HAHIMA) in the late 1990's, and she worked as a part-time fashion consultant while her kids were small.  She is still considered a "go to" for fashion advice from her close friends and family; however, don't let that mislead you -- she can be seen out and about with no make-up, athleisure, and messy hair (don't care)!
